원고작성지침

1. 원고의 작성은 한글로 작성함을 원칙으로 하며 고유명사, 전문용어 등 불가피한 경우에 한하여 괄호안에 원어를 병기할 수 있다. 이때 문장 첫머리와 고유명사, 약어 등을 제외한 모든 영어단어는 소문자로 표기한다. 단, 원고의 작성을 영문으로 할 경우, Guide for Authors를 따른다.
2. 원고의 구성은 한글 제목, 영문 제목, 한글 저자명, 영문 저자명, 한글 초록 및 주요용어, 영문 초록(Abstract) 및 영문주요용어(Keywords), 서론, 이론, 실험, 결과, 고찰, 결론, 후기, 참고문헌, 부록의 순서로 작성하되 해당 사항이 없는 항목은 생략할 수 있다.
3. 제목은 논문의 내용을 간결하면서도 정확하게 나타내어야 한다. 영문제목은 전치사, 관사 및 접속사를 제외한 각 단어의 첫 자를 대문자로 쓴다.
4. 저자의 소속은 기관명과 부서명을 기재하며, 직위도 정확하게 명시한다.
5. 초록은 논문의 독창적인 내용과, 결과를 간결하게 표현하여야 하며, 한글 초록은 300∼500자, 영문 초록은 150∼250 단어로 작성한다. 주요용어는 3~5개 이내로 한다.
6. 본문에서 약어를 써야하는 경우에는 반드시 처음 나오는 곳에서 이를 풀어쓴 다음 다시 언급하게 될 때 약어를 사용한다.
7. 표 및 그림(사진 포함)의 작성 요령은 다음과 같다.
① 표 및 그림은 본문에서 인용되는 순서에 따라 번호를 부여하고, 가급적 본문 중 인용 설명한 페이지 상단 또는 하단에 배치한다.
② 내용 및 제목(Caption)은 모두 영문으로 작성하되 표의 경우 표 위에, 그림의 경우 그림 아래에 위치시킨다.
  예) Table 1 Chemical composition of metal
  예) Fig.1 Effect of temperature on the speed of sound in the high-Tc superconductor
③ 표 및 그림(선의 굵기, 글자 및 기호의 크기 포함), 사진은 인쇄시 축소되는 경우에도 충분히 선명하게 나타날 수 있도록 상태가 좋은 원본을 사용한다.
8. 단위의 표시는 원칙적으로 SI단위계를 사용하여야 하나, 불가피한 경우에는 다른 단위계를 병기할 수 있다.
9. 인용문헌의 표기는 모두 영문으로 하며, 본문에서 인용되는 순서대로 [ ] 안에 일렬 번호를 매겨 본문 말미에 기재한다.
인용문헌의 표기는 종류에 따라 다음의 방식을 따른다.
①정기간행물: 저자, 제목, 간행물명(이탤릭체), 권, 호, 페이지 (발행년도)

Types of Paper
Original high-quality research papers; technical papers; review papers. Please be sure to select the appropriate article type upon submission of paper.

Qualification of Authors
The first author or corresponding author should be a member of the Korean Society for Nondestructive Testing. Either of them is not a member, should apply for the membership before submission. Please contact the society office to apply for the membership.

Ethics in Research and Publication

Submission of Manuscript

The manuscript should include the title of paper, name and affiliation of author(s), an abstract with keywords, main text, acknowledgements (if applicable), references, appendices (if applicable), tables and figures, in order listed. The main body consists of introduction, theory or background, experiments, results, discussion, and conclusion(s). All pages should be numbered.

Preparation of Manuscripts
Title should be concise but informative enough to facilitate as clearly as possible the main subject of the manuscript. The first letter of each word should begin with a capital letter exclusive of any articles, conjunctions, and prepositions in it. The first letter after a hyphen should also be capitalized.

Authors
Complete address including Department, Institute, City, zip or postal code and Country, e-mail address of each author should be provided with the corresponding authors clearly identified.

Abstract and keywords
The length of the abstract should be less than 250 words. In the next line of abstract, less than or equal to seven keywords should be written. The first letter of the keywords should be capitalized.
Text should be concise and written in clear.
  1. The International System of Units (SI) should be employed throughout the text.
  2. Abbreviations should be defined when they first occur in a manuscript.
  3. All equations should be written clearly and legibly. Place each equation on a separate line and number the equations sequentially by numbers enclosed in parentheses. Equations must be referred to in the text as, for example, Eq.(1), or Eqs. (1) and (2), or Eqs. (1)-(3).
  4. Tables and Figures must be accompanied by table titles and figure captions, respectively, above the describing tables and below the corresponding figures. The sizes of figures and photographs should be between 65mm or 130mm in width.

Tables and Figures
  1. Tables and Figures should be lucid and simple and should be cited in the text. The abbreviation used should be described as full name in the bottom of Tables or Figures.
  2. Tables and Figures should be numbered separately. Tables and Figures should be printed in black and white although they are originally in color except that authors request color printing. The fee for color printing will be charged to authors.
  3. Explanation for Figures and Tables should be written in English. Number of Figures should be in a form of Fig. 1, Fig. 2. The first letter of the title and explanation should be a capital letter. If there is more than or equal to two figures in a same Figure number, it should be written as Fig. 1(a), Fig. 1(b).
  4. All the Figures and Photos should be of high quality meeting the publishing requirement with legible symbols and legends. In preparing the illustrations, authors should consider a size reduction during the printing process to have acceptable line clarity and character sizes.

References
All references should be listed at the end of the manuscripts, arranged in order. References should be cited in the main text by numerals in a square bracket in ascending order, e.g. [1,2], [3-6], etc. The exemplary form of listed references is as follows:

Peer Review
Every manuscript received is circulated to two peer reviewers. The author's name and affiliation is not disclosed to reviewers during the review process. Manuscripts should receive an "Accept" decision from all reviewers in order to be ready for publication in the journal. When two reviewers conflict on their decision, the associate editor shall either appoint a third reviewer or make the final decision based on the reviewers' opinion.

Manuscript Editing
The final manuscript accepted will be reviewed by manuscript editor for the consistency of the format and the completeness of references. The manuscript may be revised according to the opinion of the manuscript editor.

Page Charges
The author(s) will be charged for 200,000 KRW up to eight (8) Journal pages, and 30,000 KRW for each additional Journal page. Once the invoice is fully paid, the corresponding author will be entitled to thirty (30) offprints of the paper and a complimentary copy of the Journal.
